Hi {{first_name}} and happy Wednesday,

Treating a stroke is a race against time. It is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle while the pieces are still moving, except the puzzle is someone’s brain, and every second matters. One decision made too slowly can change the rest of a life.

Yet in hospitals around the world, the data needed to make that decision is scattered. Imaging does not transfer cleanly. Medical records do not sync. Different teams work in different systems, each holding only part of the picture. The result is hesitation where clarity is needed.

And while the stakes here are medical, the pattern is universal. In manufacturing, finance, energy, and logistics, outcomes depend not on the amount of data available, but on whether the right information reaches the right person at the right moment.

A global medtech leader recognized that this delay was costing lives and came to PreScouter with one urgent question: How do we close the gap between knowing and doing?

What we did

PreScouter mapped the stroke care journey end-to-end to uncover where digital innovation could create a real clinical impact. Our team analyzed over 100 technologies, validated insights with 12 stroke specialists, and identified 24 high-potential partners across data, imaging, and decision support.

From this work, two moments emerged as the most critical for improving outcomes:

  1. Imaging-led triage, where speed and accuracy determine treatment

  2. Inter-facility transfer, where coordination defines recovery

These moments determine whether treatment is delivered at the right place and at the right time, which directly shapes outcomes.

What the client walked away with

  • A clear view of where digital solutions can actually improve stroke outcomes, grounded in real clinical workflows

  • A prioritized set of partnership and acquisition targets with the infrastructure to scale, not just pilot

  • A path to move from product-focused innovation toward a connected, data-driven stroke care ecosystem

What you can learn from this

  1. Integration is innovation now: Competitors may have similar technology, but not the same connected system and digital infrastructure

  2. Optimize the decision, not the dataset: Value is created in the moment a choice is made

  3. Adoption beats invention: The best solution is the one teams will actually use
